Over the past several days, two of my very good friends have told me that they are noticing that a certain bird seems to be 'following' them around. For both, it was the Robin. So today, let's explore Robin's message for my two friends, and for the rest of us.
From the Book: Robin is known to be the first bird that appears in Spring, heralding the changing of seasons and bringing news of something new on the horizon. Their homes and nests are not as high as other birds, but closer to the ground, signifying a connection to the Earth. If you see Robin frequently, you may consider adding some 'robin's egg blue' to your decor. Robin people are often shy in disposition, but bring great joy to those around them. Family is very important to Robin people as well, and no matter how far from home they may fly, they always remember their roots.
Nicole's Interpretation: Robin is a reminder that Joy is the true nature of the soul. Thoughts and feelings that bring you joy are a direct link to Spirit, bringing you back to your true self in times when you may feel lost. Many birds fly back to nest in the same place year after year. The message here is that you can always come home. Even if the home you grew up in is no longer there, fear not. Home is where the heart is. Home can even come by way of precious memories that take you back to moments of absolute peace and joy. We are always connected to Spirit, even if at times we do not feel this is so. Call upon that connection when you feel like a rolling stone or a feather blowing in the wind.
Perhaps you are feeling like you need to start something new, or are ready for another phase in your life. No matter where you are at this point in time and where you may be going, you have a piece of home with you at all times- your Spirit. Return to that place when you need inspiration to carry on. You are not alone. You bring YOU with you, no matter where you go! If you are being visited by Robin, this is YOUR SIGN that although you may feel out of sorts, you will always find your way home, back to yourself.
