UNDERSTANDING THE TRUTH ACCORDING TO HORSES by Liz Mitten Ryan 2011 Lessons in animal communication People everywhere are being called to discover new ways to connect and communicate with their animals. There are different levels of communication from our crude understanding of body language to flashes of telepathic images, words and feelings. What I have discovered by living in close proximity with my dogs, cats and horses is the understanding that there is only one consciousness, one creative energy in all life. Each unique physical being, whether animal or human translates that consciousness through their physical expression, their lifeline of connection being their intuition or instinct. The greatest gifts that animals teach us are to listen to that intuition and to be absolutely truthful in our expression. When we spend unstructured time in their company and invite our pets to share their wisdom, we begin to tune in to the animal channel, a higher level of vibration that helps us to remember our oneness and interconnection with all life. I have found that much like scientists observing quarks, my belief in this ultimate possibility is manifesting through my herd, dogs and cats (or possibly their belief is manifesting in me –probably both) Rather than a clear agenda with subsequent domination and punishment, I invite a mutually rewarding interaction that is joyful for us both. In a way it is no different then how we treat our friends. We invite them and we do nice things for them. We don’t hold a whip and threaten them to do something or else. As our relationship grows, I see their love and acceptance abound. When I appear from out of sight, every horse head lifts in my direction and there are knickers and soft noises like mothers make to their babies. Dogs leap and spiral round and round in jubilation. I have to be careful to quietly raise an eyebrow in the direction of whom I am inviting and point to the gate or there will be several eager participants all wanting to play and subsequent chaos! Beyond our mundane interaction there is a thread of something much more important, a higher message and meaning that is weaving a fabric of our higher purpose here as spiritual beings. We are all miraculous God-beings, or more accurately, God becomings that can only see the picture of our entirety when each piece of the puzzle is in place. We are all pieces of that puzzle, evolving in each others company. With that in mind let us recognize our animals for the amazing spiritual beings that they are and begin to resonate in that oneness. Gateway 2 ranch, home to powerful healing minerals, vortexes and chakras, is a secluded 320 acres of grassland set amongst forests, meadows, lakes and rocky hills. Here writer, artist and animal communicator, Liz Mitten Ryan lives with her herd of inspirational teachers and healers in the form of sixteen warmblood horses, one steer, four dogs and two cats. Together they have co-authored four award-winning books and host workshops and private sessions for visitors from all over the world to experience the life-changing E.A.R.T.H. (equine assisted re-connective therapy and healing) programs the ranch offers. Together in this pristine wilderness, the land, animals and energies offer a clear reflection of and connection to the All (or God) the one universal consciousness in all life.
LESSON ONE: Opening the channel Taking the time to develop a friendship and communicate without demand opens the door to a whole new level of relationship with your horse. Over time I began to absorb and understand the nuances that make up horse language and I started to respond in kind. I found myself suddenly knowing what “that look” meant, and as well as receiving an idea along with the look. The flood gates opened, when one day while sitting at the kitchen table pen and paper at hand, I visualized my herd and asked for their thoughts on the subject of my first book, One With The Herd. They gave me several pages, which became the dedication prologue, epilogue, and many other assorted quotes in Book One. I was amazed and began to ask more questions, the substance of which became Book Two, “The Truth According To Horses.” Through these conversations I have come to know that all minds are joined, and when we are quiet and receptive, and focus our intent, we have the ability to know the secrets of the universe. All life – animal, vegetable, mineral, is connected on that level and is one with the ALL (God) as the animals call it. Before you begin to communicate you must be resonating on the ‘Horse Channel’ Much like a tuning fork strikes a note and all the instruments are tuned to that note, animals and nature resonate on the same note. That level of vibration makes connection to higher consciousness, the one consciousness in all life available to all who are tuned to that vibration. Humans occasionally tune in during moments of meditation or moments alone in nature; we experience moments of enlightenment where we become ‘one with the light’ and know a level of connection where all minds are joined and all knowledge is available. That is the level where communication is in it’s highest form. Horses are large and powerful emissaries of spirit and have an ability to tune our vibration to that place where we resonate with oneness. From the Herd: Imagine living with the perspective of being inside and outside of yourself at the same time, as we do. We can experience all aspects of life on this plane and beyond— the greater ALL existence. The moment you make that connection, everything is given. It is like a drop of water becoming the ocean, a beam of light blending with all light. Within and without there is nothing else—we become all form itself, Oneness—ALL. The moment we touch the ALL, we become the ALL. It is a joy and a homecoming that is immeasurable. This is what we have to teach you about spiritual freedom. Do not imagine yourself as a drop of water or a beam of light when you are the ocean and the sky. Do not imagine yourself to be the world when you are the universe. You have nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear is a finite piece of freedom, and freedom is all there is. As a drop of rain falls into the ocean and evaporates again to become a cloud, such is your life. Let us help you gain a new perspective. |
