Believe In The Moment

The other day I was outside with my 2 year old grandson and we were playing with chalk. We were drawing pictures and he was making rainbows with all the colors, one of his favorite things to do with the chalk.

We were talking about our pictures and he said my picture was awesome. I smiled and thanked him and told him I thought his picture was awesome. He looked at me with a frown and said "That's my word, grandma." I laughed and told him I could use it, too and that I thought he was awesome. He smiled and said "I think you're awesome, too, grandma."

Then he turned around and said "And the sky is awesome, and the birds are awesome and that truck is awesome." And he gave me the biggest smile. And I said, "You're absolutely right, Alex, its all awesome." And he just went back to drawing his rainbow, shaking his head yes and letting out a big sigh.

He knows so much more than I. I have a lot to learn from this young man, this beautiful soul.

I am truly blessed. Thank you God for sending me an angel.
